Premium browser extension
Cosmic Scale, offline and ad-free
Keep the large-number explorer one click away in Chrome or Edge. The extension includes the same Conway-Wechsler naming engine, long-scale comparison, SI prefixes, digit sandbox, speech, and universe-scale facts without website ads.
Not yet available for purchase — the extension hasn't launched yet. When it does it will be US$1.99, paid once, with no subscription, licensed through Polar. Tell us you're interested and we'll let you know.
What the license will unlock
- Offline use: launch from your toolbar after activation — the license re-checks with Polar when you're online and keeps working for up to 14 days offline.
- No ads: the extension has no advertising or analytics scripts.
- One-time purchase: US$1.99, paid once — no subscription. The license is issued and verified through Polar.
- Local-first: number calculations happen on your device.
For teachers
Open the explorer during lessons without relying on a website tab or ad-supported page.
For writers
Check names for gigantic powers of ten while drafting science fiction, puzzles, or references.
For curious minds
Compare short scale, long scale, SI prefixes, and magnitude facts from one compact popup.
How it will work at launch
- Buy a license. Once the extension launches you'll be able to buy it from this page, and Polar emails your license key right after checkout.
- Install the extension. Add Cosmic Scale from the Chrome Web Store, then pin it to your toolbar.
- Activate. Click the toolbar icon, paste your key, and choose "Unlock Tool".
Your key will be stored locally. The license re-checks with Polar whenever a connection is available and keeps working for up to 14 days offline; no browsing data is transmitted. Each key will cover up to 5 browsers, and the license will not expire. Free a seat with the extension's own "Deactivate this browser" control, or from your Polar account if you can no longer reach that machine.
